Our Children Remembered
In memory of her son Adam, ahead of his 17th birthday, our Trustee Tracey France, has brought forth this new vision to cherish the memories of our children.
For a bereaved parent or grandparent, one of the most challenging tasks is preserving the memory of their child.
We feel privileged that each family staying at Poppy's Place, or participating in our memorial events, shares their child's story with us.
We've chosen to adorn our decking with butterflies, each bearing the names and dates significant to our children. Whether you've been our guest at Poppy's Place or plan to visit in the future, we welcome you to contribute your child's name and meaningful dates. In doing so, we will honour your child with a dedicated butterfly on the decking of our cherished retreat.
Each butterfly is lovingly engraved by our friend and supporter Diarmid MacMillan, who has supported the charity since it’s foundation.
